Egyptian authorities have arrested a teenage street performer on charges of inciting anti-government protests, Associated Press reports.
According to his lawyer, 19-year-old Ezzedeen Khaled belongs to a satirical comedy group called "Street Children," which recently put out a video clip criticizing President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi. Police say that the video "insulted state institutions," which is a crime in the country.
The government has been cracking down on protesters and activists over the past month, as Sissi works to transfer two islands to Saudi Arabia.
