Kenyan authorities have updated the death toll from a building collapse last week to 49, Reuters reports.
On April 29, a six-story building in a poor neighborhood of the capital Nairobi fell down during heavy rains. The structure had previously been declared unsafe for habitation, and authorities are still investigating why people were inside.
Rescue workers continue to search for missing people amidst the rubble.
