MK Ofer Shelah (Yesh Atid) responded on Friday to the leaking of information from the State Comptroller's report regarding the conduct of the government during Operation Protective Edge.

"The leaks from the State Comptroller's report are a serious thing, a continuation of the reckless behavior of some members of the Cabinet during Operation Protective Edge. But one thing is clear, and no report is needed to know it: Israel went to war that was built for years before its eyes and was not ready, without a plan, goals and proper preparation of the army. The main person responsible for this is the prime minister in the five years prior to the operation, Binyamin Netanyahu," he said.

"The lesson to the public is clear: Do not be fooled by slogans, but demand clarification of the truth and draw your own conclusions, not only out of respect for the fallen in the battle, but also to improve what is necessary for the future," he added.
