European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is warning against member countries putting their own interests above the collective EU, the BBC reports.

"We have too many part-time Europeans," he said during a debate in Roma about the state of the EU.

European Council President Donald Tusk, however, claimed hat the EU must focus on strengthening its external borders in the face of migrants, but that the member countries can have their own individuality. "The idea of one EU state, one vision... was an illusion."
