IDF Deputy Chief-of-Staff Yair Golan responded to his speech on the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day and made it clear that “I did not intend to compare the IDF and the State of Israel to what was going on during the Nazi regime in Germany.”
“The IDF is a moral army that safeguards the purity of weapons and the honor of human beings,” Golan added.
