John Kasich is ending his campaign for the Republican nomination in the US presidential race. Kasich, a former member of Congress and currently the governor of Ohio, pledged to continue his run only yesterday (Tuesday).
Despite his outward show of optimism, he did not win any states except for Ohio.
This leaves Donald Trump as the party's near-certain candidate.
