President Reuven Rivlin hosted General (res.) Orna Barbivai at his residence today (Wednesday), in honor of her receiving the Haim Herzog Prize.
"Your actions speak for you and any attempt to praise you only diminishes your accomplishments. No one can say how hard you have worked for our land and our country," President Rivlin said, adding that she was the first woman to receive the rank of general.
Professor Menachem Ben-Sasson, the president of Hebrew University, and Haim Herzog's son, MK Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) also took part in the ceremony.
