The prosecution responded on Tuesday evening to the sentencing of Yosef Haim Ben-David, who was convicted of abducting and murdering Palestinian Arab youth Mohammed Abu Khdeir.
“The accused Ben-David was the initiator, the planner and the chief perpetrator of the murder. The court rejected the defense’s claims and requests for reduced sentences due to various claims regarding his mental state. This is a case that horrified the Israeli public, in light of the cruelty of the acts.”
“Every person should know that no matter what religion or race perpetrators are, whoever commits such crimes… the law enforcement system will exact justice against them to its fullest extent.”
