Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday he hopes a cessation of hostilities in Aleppo could be announced "in the next few hours," after talks with UN envoy on Syria, AFP reports.
"I am hoping that in the near future, maybe even in the next few hours such a decision will be announced," Lavrov told reporters after talks with UN envoy Staffan de Mistura in Moscow.
The UN envoy said he was also hoping that the cessation of hostilities could be announced "in the next hours."
