Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan spoke on Monday with Rabbi Eliezer Igra and congratulated him upon his appointment to the Great Rabbinical Court in Jerusalem.

“I wish you must luck and hope that you will continue your actions on behalf of those who come to the Rabbinical Courts, as you have done thus far,” he told Rabbi Igra.

Following their conversation, Rabbi Ben-Dahan said that “Rabbi Igra is an experienced judge who, after being appointed as a Dayan (religious judge) in Be’er Sheva, moved to the south in order to strengthen the Negev. I am certain that his appointment will strengthen the Great Rabbinical Court’ his dedication to women and those who come to the court will help resolve the most difficult cases.”
