Jean-Marie Le Pen, the ousted founder of France's far-right National Front (FN) party, says that his daughter Marine will lose in next year's presidential elections.
Le Pen père added that Marine is not trying to reconcile with him. He was expelled from FN last August, in response to his perceived anti-Semitism and extremism. He has been convicted of racism or inciting racial hatred on six occasions, including for saying that the gas chambers were merely "a detail" in the history of World War II.
Marine now heads the party and is pushing for a more anti-Islamist attitude.
