Malia Obama, the eldest daughter of US President Barack Obama, is finishing her high school education and has announced her plans for the future.
She says that she will take the coming year off, and then begin attending Harvard University in the fall of 2017. She has not yet said what she will do with the gap year.
During the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, President Obama stated that intends to stay in Washington until their youngest daughter, Sasha, graduates high school in 2020.
