The UK Labour Party has suspended Naz Shah, its member of Parliament from Bradford West.

It was recently revealed that she called for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the Middle East, among other offensive statements on social media. Shah offered a response to the reports, in which she claimed that her views have moderated since writing the posts.

An official Party statement read: "Jeremy Corbyn and Naz Shah have mutually agreed that she is administratively suspended from the Labour Party by the general secretary. Pending investigation, she is unable to take part in any party activity and the whip is removed."
