Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says that his country is working on a new constitution, which will include the principle of secularism, the BBC reports.

While Turkey was founded as a secular country, political support for religious parties have grown strongly over the past few years. However, Davutoglu insists that the official secularism is "not up for debate."

Yesterday, Parliamentary speaker Ismail Kahraman, who is in charge of the group to draft the constitution, said that Turkey is a Muslim country and that the charter should reflect that.
