The Palestinian Authority decided to delay turning to the UN Security Council regarding Israeli construction in Judea and Samaria, in order to let France’s attempts to gather an international peace conference have a fighting chance, PA sources told the Asharq al-Awsat news agency.
According to the sources, France and a few other countries asked Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to hold off on turning to the UN.
