Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev responded on Tuesday night to MK Ahmad Tibi’s statements against Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer players.
“Mr. Ahmad Tibi, your pitiful statement against an Israeli soccer team and against Israel ruined my state of calm on the one vacation day I took throughout the Passover holiday. If you think that wrapping oneself with a flag is pathetic, ridiculous, nationalistic and extraneous, then you will never be a part of the State of Israel. You can continue waving the Palestinian Authority’s flag, but it won’t help you. We will always wave the Israeli flag here,” Regev said.
