A rabbi who used to work for kosher food company Manischewitz is now suing the company for improperly following kashrut, Associated Press reports.

Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz was the chief kashrut supervisor at Manischewitz but claims that he was forced out of his job after he warned the company that it was not properly upholding religious laws.

Rabbi Horowitz is also suing the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, which also oversaw his position.

The Orthodox Union denies the claims, while Manischewitz offered no comment.
