The Labor and Welfare Committee approved on Wednesday of two one-time grants, each worth 1,000 shekels, to be paid to contract workers employed as security guards and maintenance workers.
Histadrut labor federation Chairman Avi Nissenkorn emphasized that from now on, contract workers within the public sector will receive the same grants as state employees.
