Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will begin his official four-day visit to Israel today (Monday). This is the first time that a Singaporean prime minister has visited Israel since the former achieved independence 51 years ago.
As part of the trip, Loong will meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and will visit significant sites in Jerusalem, including Yad Vashem, the Kotel, the Old City and Hebrew University. While at the university, he will receive an honorary PhD.
