The Syrian Foreign Ministry has appealed to the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the UN Security Council, following Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's comments on the Golan Heights yesterday.
The appeal explained that "Syrian strongly denounces the provocative meeting by the Occupation Government about the Occupied Syrian Golan. Syria calls on the UN and the Security Council to immediately intervene and denounce this irresponsible meeting."
Yesterday, Netanyahu declared that the Golan Heights will always remain part of Israel.
