The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq has announced that it is operating at a deficit of $100 million per month, Reuters reports. Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani says that his government is willing to accept any conditions in exchange for aid.

"We have absolutely no problems with any conditions that (would) be placed on financial assistance given to us," Talabani explained, noting that the KRG has asked the United States for assistance.

Kurdistan has been hit particularly hard by the drop in oil prices that resulted from last year's nuclear deal with Iran.
