The Ministry of Economy and Industry has released data showing the extent to which Israeli matza is purchased around the world.
The largest amount of matzah, $7 million worth, is exported to the US. Europe imports $5 million, primarily in the UK ($1.7 million), Italy ($1 million), France ($700,000) and Belgium ($600,000).
Some surprising countries showed up the list, including Azerbaijan ($19,000), Nigeria ($4,500), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo ($1,600).
