The debate on segregating Jewish and Arab mothers in Israeli maternity wards by the Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality has begun. Only Arab MKs are taking part at this time.
The debate is being held in light of reports that some Israeli hospital separate Jewish and Arab mothers, despite this being strictly forbidden by the Health Ministry.
