After counting 72 percent of the votes in Peru, it appears that the two candidates who will compete for the presidency are Keiko Fujimori, who received 39.1 percent of the votes, and Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, who received 21.9 percent.
The next round will take palce in June.
Fujimori is the daughter of the country's former president, Alberto Fujimori. The elder Fujimori is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence for corruption and the use of death squads.
