Shin Bet (ISA, Israel Security Agency), IDF and police forces arrested in recent months residents of the Binyamin region Arab village of Beit Ur a-Tahta, who were involved in rock terror and firebombing attacks directed at cars traveling along Route 443, as well as against IDF forces active in the area surrounding their village.
Shin Bet investigations reveal that 12 terrorists were members of the cell. Some of the members were yotuhs. The terrorists were involved in six attacks.
The cell was motivated by a desire to avenge the death of a local man, Ibrahim Alan, who was eliminated after committing a terror attack in Beit Oron, which claimed the life of Shulamit Krigman and wounded another Israeli woman.
Some of the terrorists were indicted; the rest will be indicted in the near future.
