Helen Mirren will host the Genesis Prize award ceremony in Jerusalem, Associated Press reports.

The Oscar-winning actress will present the award, which is considered the "Jewish Nobel Prize," to Israeli-American violinist Itzhak Perlman, in recognition of his work as a musician, teacher and disabled advocate.

The prize is worth one million dollars.

"My connection to Israel and the Jewish people has truly been a part of making me what I am today, and I am very excited to be returning to this great country," Mirren says.
