Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded at the start of Sunday’s weekly Cabinet meeting to the High Court’s decision to accept some petitions against the gas deal.

“Growth happens when exportation markets are opened, but also by removing gas from the sea. This will enable us many years of growth and will bring billions to Israel’s economy. For the sake of the wellbeing of the citizens of Israel, we will not give up on the matter,” the PM emphasized.

“One of the reasons that Israel’s economy is not fulfilling its potential is that there is an overabundance of bureaucracy and too much regulation.”
