Yisrael Beytenu head Avigdor Liberman has praised the decision to release the soldier who shot a neutralized terrorist.

"Shabbat shalom to the soldier who fired the shot in Hevron, after the military court decided to release him to a jail on the open base Nahshonim," Liberman wrote on his Facebook page.

"I hope that this signifies the beginning of the end for this farce, in the understanding that the soldier who killed a terrorist is certainly not a murderer and also doesn't need to be accused of manslaughter. I fully hope that next Shabbat he will already be at home with his family."
