Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a man for making Youtube videos with "vulgar remarks" against the country's leader and "slurs targeting a religious sect."
Associated Press reports that the suspect, Salem Abdulla Ishtail al-Doussari, was taken into custody shortly after his flight from London landed.
According to the Kuwaiti constitution, the country's ruler, known as the emir, is "immune and inviolable." Criticizing him is a criminal offense. Human Rights Watch reports that at least 18 people have been placed on trial for doing so in the past four years.
