Syrian President Bashar al-Assad says that no one can prevent him from inviting foreign forces into Syria.
"The Syria people do not want the Russian forces to leave Syria. Not now and not in the future," he said.
His comments came after a UN envoy proposed banning foreign military forces from remaining in Syria.
