The French navy has caught a ship carrying Iranian weapons to Houthi jihadists, CNN reports.
The weapons were on their way to Somalia before continuing to Yemen. Once in Yemen, they would be given to the Houthi fighting against government forces.
Yemen has been embroiled in a deadly civil war for the past year, primarily between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed government. As the two sides wear each other down, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and ISIS have been growing in strength.
According to France, this is the second such weapons shipment they have stopped in the past month.
