The consumer cost of public transportation around the country will drop beginning tomorrow (Friday), as almost a million people will enjoy the benefits.

At the same time, the transportation companies' employees are concerned that the savings will come out of their paychecks.

In light of this, Transport Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) has appealed to Finance Minster Moshe Kahlon (Kulanu). "After it was made clear to me that the state and other bodies are taking the price difference from their workers, I approached the Finance Minister for his agreement that the discounted values remain in the workers' pockets. This is how we reduce the cost of living: with action and not with words."
