Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) has offered his congratulations to Doron Almog and Rabbi Eli Sadan for receiving the Israel Prize.

"Doron was a bold fighter and commander, as well as a true leader. He chose to continue giving back to society and its weakest members in an admirable manner, as a result of his personal story. The village he created for people with special needs, Aleh Negev, is a model of sensitivity and outstanding social involvement," he said.

"Rabbi Eli Sadan is a true trailblazer. When he began the first B'nei David pre-military academy. His unique ability to bring together different layers of society is both important and meaningful, and he does so through an impressive combination of the sacred and the profane, physical and spiritual."
