The Constitutional Court, the highest court in South Africa, has declared President Jacob Zuma guilty of violating the constitution.
President Zuma is on trial for refusing to return any of the millions of dollars he took from public funds in order to improve his private home. The Court initially ordered him to return part of the sum, which Zuma refused to do. Today (Thursday), the justices unanimously ruled that, in doing so, he "failed to uphold, defend and respect the constitution as the supreme law of the land."
