President Reuven Rivlin spoke on Tuesday evening with the head of the Jewish community in Turkey, İshak İbrahimzadeh. Rivlin thanked thanked İbrahimzadeh for the community’s assistance to those injured, and to the families of those killed in the recent terror attack in Istanbul.

The President also expressed his concern in light reported threats to the community, and said, “We are very worried about the information we are receiving, and following the situation closely with the relevant authorities in Israel and Turkey. I would like to emphasize my gratitude to the Jewish community for all you did for those who were injured, and for your outreach to the families of those who lost their loved ones. Thank you for your care, you reminded us that 'all Jews are brothers'.

President Rivlin offered to provide any necessary assistance for the Jewish community in Turkey.
