The Antitrust Authority on Sunday night told the Cellcom and Golan Telecom cellular companies that the planned merger between them raises competitive concerns with regards to the cellular phone industry.
In the coming days, a hearing between representatives of the two companies and the Antitrust Authority will take place, in which the possibility that the merger be approved subject to conditions will be discussed, and in order to enable the Authority to refute the competition concerns. A final decision will be made next week.
