Former Foreign Minister, Yisrael Beytenu chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman, on Friday called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to renew the decision to cut ties with the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

"Netanyahu's decision [to renew ties with the UNHRC] was a bad mistake. I was against it and said it already when he made it, and now we see the consequences of that mistake when the Council reaches a scandalous decision (to form a 'blacklist' of all Israeli and international companies which directly or indirectly operate in Judea and Samaria) as it enjoys the legitimization Israel gives it by cooperating with it and recognizing it as legitimate. I said in the past that it is not the Human Rights Council, but rather a terrorist rights council and should be treated as such," said Liberman.

"Netanyahu, who also serves as Foreign Minister, would do well to if he renewed the decision to cut all ties with this body immediately. Israel must not agree that an international body will treat it in a discriminatory and anti-Semitic manner," he added.
