At a hearing in the Jaffa military court Friday on the arrest extension of a soldier who the day before shot a wounded Arab terrorist who had just stabbed a soldier, the military prosecutor attempted to charge the soldier with murder.

In response, the soldier's lawyer said his client "acted according to the open fire orders he received."

The soldier was filmed by a leftist activist the day before shooting the terrorist shortly after he, together with an accomplice, conducted a stabbing attack in Hevron.

The soldier argued that he shot the terrorist out of fears he was about to detonate a bomb belt, concerns that were corroborated in a second video released on Friday.
