Man shot dead in Brussels was an Algerian citizen

Belgian police said that the man shot dead during a manhunt in Brussels earlier in the week was a 35-year-old Algerian national illegally residing in Belgium.

A search of the deceased’s belongings revealed an “Islamic State” (ISIS) flag.
