Lebanese news agencies made it clear on Wednesday that Hezbollah has not retreated from Syria, despite reports on a Lebanese website on Tuesday that “Hundreds of fighters” affiliated with Hezbollah left Syrian soil.
The head of the Syrian Human Rights Observatory told the Lebanon Debate that new forces exchanged places with forces already on the battlefield, and that Hezbollah has not retreated from the country.
