The US and South Korea staged a joint military exercise yesterday (Saturday), in which they practiced attack North Korea's beaches. Reuters reports that the two allies are in the midst of their largest-ever joint military exercise.
In response, North Korea called the drills "nuclear war moves" and threatened to attack "with an ultra-precision blitzkrieg strike of the Korean style."
Officials told state news agency KCNA that "The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] holding tightly the arms to annihilate the enemies with towering hatred for them are waiting for the dignified Supreme Command to issue an order to launch a preemptive strike of justice."
