The President’s office requests to make it clear that President Rivlin did not express support for former President Moshe Katzav’s early release from prison.
“If and when necessary, the President will deliberate the matter and will formulate his position. Only after all necessary considerations are taken into account will a decision be made, just as in the case of any other pardon request brought to his attention.”
