Lapid: US-Israel relations are at their worst since 1948

Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid has commented on the relationship between Israel and the US during an Open University event.

"The Israel-US relations are at their worst since 1948," said MK Lapid. "We saw this when it was clear Israel would not succeed in torpedoing the deal with Iran, and the controversies surrounding the signature on the US military aid agreement."

He added: "Now the Americans say that, with the current Israeli government, we don't want to make a deal. It looks like a crisis... Not solving this crisis shows a national lack of responsibility. When the White House hears on the media that the Prime Minister is not coming to visit Washington, it's a lack of responsibility."
