The US Justice Department says that Iran was behind a cyberattack on a dam in upstate New York.
The incident occurred in 2013, when hackers broke into the control room of the Bowman Avenue Dam in Rye Brook, New York. A federal investigation found that the hackers checked the system's weaknesses but did not cause any permanent damage.
A spokesperson for the Justice Department says that charges will be filed, though it is not known if they will be laid against specific individuals.
