Authorities destroyed half a ton of meat in Or Akiva. The meat was destined for local restaurants but was found unfit for human consumption.
Police received reports about a vehicle suspected of improperly transporting unauthorized meat yesterday (Thursday). The vehicle was soon located, on which the regional veterinarian found 50 kilograms of meat that was being shipping under inappropriate conditions and whose origin was unknown.
It was believed that the meat was to be delivered to a local restaurant. When police and the veterinarian reached the restaurant, they found another half ton of meat kept under improper conditions.
