Court proceedings against former Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger began on Thursday morning. During the hearing, it was decided that Rabbi Metzger’s attorneys would respond in their client’s name to the charges made against him by July 1st. A first hearing on the case will take place on July 4th.
The evidentiary hearing against Rabbi Metzger will begin in September.
