The Brazilian Supreme Court has decided to allow the speaker of the lower house of Congress, Eduardo Cunha, to be tried for corruption.
Cunha is suspected of receiving bribes worth at least five million dollars.
He is widely seen as a rival to President Dilma Rousseff, and this move may hamper efforts to oust Rousseff.
