General Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs, landed in Israel today (Thursday).
He has so far met with Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud), in preparation for Vice President Joe Biden's visit next week.
Ya'alon told reporters that Israel and the US must work together to face the challenges in the Middle East that are confronting both countries.
