Bernie Sanders raised more than $5 million in one day on Monday, simply by asking his network of donors for more money, reports say.
On Monday morning, Sanders' campaign announced it had raised $36 million in February, and he set a goal of hitting $40 million by the end of the day. A website tracking the fundraising effort showed the campaign had exceeded $41 million by Monday evening.
