Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu applauded efforts regarding the ceasefire in Syria at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting, but made it clear that Israel will stand by its own interests.
“Any deal in Syria must include an end to the Iranian aggression towards Israel from Syrian soil. We will not allow advanced weapons to be supplied to Hezbollah in Lebanon via Syria. We will not agree to the establishment of a second terror front in the Golan. Those are red lines that we have marked and they will remain the State of Israel’s red lines.”
